April 2024 – Newsletter

New for 2024 is a monthly Maldon Cricket Club newsletter.  The newsletter will bring you all the latest Don’s news in one place and provides a list of events for the coming months. The April 2024 edition is now available.

Training – Tues 23 April

There will be a full club training session at Drapers Farm on Tuesday 23 April 2024 from 6pm. All members are encouraged to the attend the session and the bar will be open, once training has finished. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Statistical Landmarks

2023 saw a record breaking statistical summer.  Chris Harris got two consecutive double hundreds.  Chris beat the club record highest score with 263 not out against Copdock & OI in June.  This was the fifth highest individual score recorded on Play Cricket in 2023.  He also beat the opening partnership records in two consecutive week with Ross Walpole.  The first…

  • Games Night Takes Place
    There were nine teams participating on the clubs recent Games Night, which was another great success.  A great night was had by all those who entered! Thank you for Chris, Ross and Steve for organizing which raised a further £355 for club funds.

Mason To Assist Gibbo

Young wicket keeper, Mason Foakes has been appointed joint vice captain of the Don’s second XI, alongside James Ellis. Jellis continues in the role for a second second season.
