Welcome to Maldon Cricket Club
Chair’s Welcome
Welcome to Maldon Cricket Club. We are based in Essex with a proud history of being a competitive yet friendly and inclusive cricket club. We are community based, and pride ourselves on our progressive youth development system that puts the improvement of young people at the core of everything we do.
We have produced some fine cricketers- no finer than England’s greatest cricketer, Sir Alastair Cook. Sir Alastair’s cricketing foundations were built on the field at our two home venues, Drapers Farm and the Maldon Prom, and these building blocks saw him grace the field for Essex and England with great distinction for 20 years. In this time, Cooky captained his country to series wins over Australia and India, as well as becoming the highest individual run scorer in the countries history. Sir Alastair is still heavily involved in the club, and his achievements are an inspiration to all of our young players making their way in the game.
As of our 2024, our principal sponsors are TFP Financial Planning who are are Chartered Financial Planners based in Maldon. TFP help people find the comfort, confidence and knowledge to enjoy their retirement without worrying about money. Find more out by TFP by visiting https://tfp-fp.com.
If you are interested in becoming involved in the club as a player, supporter or sponsor, then contact us to become part of our club. We look forward to hearing from you.
