Fantasy League – Week 4 & 5 Review

With the weather having the final say in a lot of matches over the past couple of weekends, the weekly review is extended for what is hopefully just a one-off, to cover the games that were played.  These include the Ladies XI, midweek fixtures and the normal weekend games that did escape the rain.

Out of the 8 fixtures played, there’s been a healthy return of 6 victories and only 2 defeats, with several notable performances along the way, both for teams and players.

MAY 7TH – Bethan Bailey = 4/0/8/4 – not bad for a keeper!

MAY 8TH – Xavier Scieller-Giles = 28 & 2/36

MAY 9TH – Cameron Blackboro = 54* & 2 catches; Martyn Coker = 52*; David Blackboro = 3/29; Jas Bains = 3/16

MAY 11TH – Luke Sanders = 4/23 & a catch ; Mike Cutmore = 25* & 2 catches

MAY 14TH – Chloe Dack = 25*, 2/17 and a catch

MAY 15TH – Matt Anderson = a match winning 52*, 3/37, 2 catches and a run out; Harwich 25 all out!  Jack Plumb = 3/10; Finn Jones = 5/2/4/4; Luke Sanders = 3/7

MAY 16TH – Joe Figg = 101 (from 99 balls, 12 x 4 and 2 x 6) and a catch; Luke Reeve = 37; David Blackboro = 3/23; Alexander Strong = 3/9

Across the 2 weeks, there’s been 4 players who have managed to score more than 200pts = Matt Anderson (267); Luke Sanders (260); David Blackboro (234) and Luke Reeve (208).

And for teams, there’s been an impressive 7 that have netted over 1000pts, by the clever use of transfers, captain points and also by the use of a treble points special……

Luke Reeve (1463); Luke Sanders (1430); Joe Figg (1363); Andy Phipps (1260); Jas Bains (1217); Smudger (1199) and Mickle Newman (1009).

All of which have had a massive impact on the state of the league table, with Toby no longer riding high and mighty!

1st – Joe Figg (2947)

2nd – Luke Reeve (2503)

3rd – Jody Brown (2324)

4th – Toby Pugh (2218)

5th – Max Bryant (2188)

I think you’ll agree that it’s an exciting time for Fantasy Cricket, so don’t forget to check the website weekly and use your transfers wisely, who knows what will happen next!
