Opening Up Cricket

Maldon Cricket Club is pleased to announce that it will be promoting the work of the Opening Up Cricket this year.

Opening Up promotes Mental Wellbeing & Suicide Prevention through Cricket, offering sessions with clubs as well as blogs, podcast and online resources. Opening Up Cricket was formed in 2014 in response to the death of Sefton Park CC wicket keeper Alex Miller and a will to promote positive mental health in the sport we all love.

The club will soon be sharing bat stickers with members, as well as offering an open and honest place where members can feel able to share their worries or concerns.

A link to the Opening Up website has been placed on the home page of our official website and members wishing to find out more about about Opening Up can click here.

We look forward to working with Opening Up this summer and further information regarding the planned sessions will be released in due course.
