The 5th XI hosted Old Chelmsfordians on Saturday 26th June and fielded a youthful looking side. The colts playing performed well and were supported by Paul Gregory and Michael Newman. Having lost the toss Maldon were asked to bat first and started well with Murray Mynard and Will Savill scoring freely. After a few quickContinue reading “Young 5th XI Go Close”
Report courtesy of Luke Sanders. After a week missed due to poor weather the 3’s looked to carry on there winning streak while hosting Nacton, without Captain Phipps! Maldon began the day with the bat. With openers, Cameron Blackboro and Andrew Barnes looking to make a solid start, however this was over shortly when BarnesContinue reading “3s March On”
A much changed, Maldon 4th XI made the long trip to picturesque Woodbridge without captain Joe Figg and a number of other regular team members. Bowling first having won the toss, (makes a change – the change of Captain obviously helped!), the opening bowlers were excellent, Luke Reeve and Kian Woolston restricting the Woodbridge batsmanContinue reading “4s Win – AGAIN!”
Today’s first and second XI fixtures have been postponed. The pitch at Drapers was deemed unplayable, whilst Elmstead were unable to raise a side against our 2s, handing them the 20 points.
Unfortunately, tonight’s training sessions at Drapers Farm have been cancelled due to the recent and forecasted weather. This includes all Colts age group cricket, along with our Softball social training sessions. Subject to the weather, the sessions will return and commence next Friday 28 May 2021. Should the weather intervene again, a further update willContinue reading “Friday Night Training Cancelled”

Sudbury’s 2 openers got the innings offContinue reading “Sudbury Edge Sunday Friendly”
Maldon’s 4th XI arrived at Chantry Park in Ipswich looking to make it six wins from six games this season. The wicket looked good thanks to the opposition’s grounds team. Unsurprisingly Joe Figg lost the toss once again and Maldon were put in to bat first. The 4th XI have a good record when battingContinue reading “4s Win By Just 1 Run”
Maldon turned up at East Bergholt on a damp and overcast Saturday looking to put behind them last weeks frustrating defeat to Hadleigh. After losing what seemed like a very important toss Maldon were unsurprisingly inserted on a wet wicket. Batting was always going to tricky and posting a score of anything over 160 wouldContinue reading “Magnificent Macca Guides Ones To Victory”
